PalmSource, the subsidiary of Palm Inc. that develops the Palm OS, is laying off 18% of its employees. These were across the board layoffs, not concentrated in any one area of the company.

XScaleCtrl for Dell Axim by wibble-wobble.com is a Control Panel applet that allows users to adjust the speed of the handhelds XScale processor from 100 MHz up to 500 MHz. The 300 MHz model can be scaled up to 400 MHz, while the 400 MHz one can be scaled up to 500 MHz. It sells for $3.50.
